what do you think?

I've been thinking about using my silhouettes for some 8x10 prints. Here are a couple of designs I just came up with... please let me know what you think.

I'm completely open to suggestions - what would you want me to change if you were going to put these in your child's bedroom? I think these would make cute note cards, too... I'll probably be adding some to my Etsy shop soon.

I totally love them! I like them both ways that you have showed them. How much would they be and would you make them bigger?
Say 20x16? I love the giraffes so much!

Thank you! I think I'll be posting them in my shop soon. I've already posted some blank notecards using the ones with the white silhouettes.

I don't think I'll be offering 16x20s anytime soon since I don't have any envelopes big enough to ship them or shipping tubes, but that's a good idea. Maybe the next time I order shipping supplies I'll take a look for something I could ship 16x20s in. Thanks for the comment!

These are gorgeous! I love the giraffes and elephant especially--and the reverse transfer ones (white on color). I would really love to see some with a simple letter on them, for example 'B' on butterflies (it might even say 'butterflies' too)--kind of flashcard like. I've never seen any like that before.

As for the 16x20 size--I say take one of your cards to a frame shop and have it framed that large inside a big white mat. They're graphic enough that they could hold they're own right in the center.

Sorry to hear about being plagerized. Makes me afraid to put any original ideas up!!!

Sorry--one more thing. My friend Kamee of Kamee June photography might be stopping by. I suggested offering your birth announcements for use with her baby photography, and she loved the idea!

Jennifer P - Thanks for the comments & the referral! The letters are a great idea! I was thinking of something like that a while ago and totally forgot about it. I also keep meaning to do a simple one-letter monogram notecard, and that might be cute as a print, too. I love anything with the letter E for my daughter Emma!

I really LOVE these! i love the colors, and simplicity. The giraffes and turle and elephant are my favorite. how would you frame them?

Love, love, love your items! They are all so original. The problem with great ideas is that people recognize them and try to pass them as their own. I have the same problem with monogramming and believe me it s**ks!! Can you do sheep? My friend Paper Girl would love one! Let me know ... PM

Wow, thanks for all the comments - I really appreciate it!! To answer a few questions...

I made some cute little sheep jumping over a fence in one of my "prayer" prints (Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep), but I hadn't thought of making a silhouette out of those - I'm going to add that to my to do list for tomorrow & I'll let you know if it turns out well!

I just posted these in my shop at:
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=7947178

I'm pricing them at $12 for one, $22 for a set of 3, and then $6 for each additional one after 3.

A woman named Jennifer who asked me about these this morning bought a set of 6, and I really like how they turned out! I'm hoping maybe she'll take a picture so I can see how she frames them. If I were to offer them framed I'd probably buy some more 8x8 white frames and do them as squares.

Thanks again for the comments and questions - it really makes my day to feel like I'm not so alone in this endeavor! :)

Hi Sara-

I LOVE these they are so beautiful. I really like the idea of adding the letter & name of the animal also.

You are so talented!

One more thought...you could sell in sets of 3 and multiply the animals in each one. Then either spell out one, two, three or numerically 1...2...3. So in the 1st put a turtle & the word one, in the 2nd have 2 giraffes & the word two, and in the 3rd have 3 butterflies & the word three (or whatever animals). They would look beautiful framed in the kids room.

and if I had a kid I would definitly put those in his room!

Thanks so much for the great idea, Liz! I woke up with all these ideas about letters and kids names, and now I'm excited about the number idea too! I hope to have a few posted soon.
